Is ‘Dark Knight’ Star Interested In ‘Justice League’ Movie?
David Cronenberg Criticizes ‘Dark Knight Rises’ And Other Superhero Movies

Between “Dark Knight Rises” and “Avengers” and everything else that’s on the horizon, it’s never been a more exciting time to be a superhero movie fan. But David Cronenberg disagrees. The “Cosmopolis” director does not think movies like Christopher Nolan’s “Dark Knight” trilogy have resulted in an “elevated art form” for the comic book movie scene, based on comments he made in a new interview with NextMovie.
“I think it’s still Batman running around in a stupid cape. I just don’t think it’s elevated,” said Cronenberg. “Christopher Nolan‘s best movie is ‘Memento,’ and that is an interesting movie. I don’t think his Batman movies are half as interesting though they’re 20 million times the expense.”

‘Dark Knight Rises’ Faces ‘Bourne’ At The Box Office

Jason Bourne is out of the picture, but that doesn’t make Aaron Cross any less deadly for Bruce Wayne. This weekend’s impending box office battle royale is between the reigning champion “Dark Knight Rises” and newcomer “The Bourne Legacy,” the first film in the successful spy series without Matt Damon in the lead. Instead, Jeremy Renner is the man behind the sniper scope, making this the closest to a Batman versus Hawkeye showdown as we’re going to get this summer.
